The Centre itself is an extraordinary facility and is really the perfect venue for a Conference such as ours, as it would be for smaller or larger conferences. We received a vast number of positive comments about the amenities of the Centre. One delegate in particular, a leading English Barrister, remarked that it would be impossible for a Conference of this sort to be staged in London, as London had no facility anything like your Centre.
I've been in the industry for a long, long time and I know what standards to expect. The Adelaide Convention Centre is very proud of what they have to offer. They are very amiable, very polite, always wanting to serve and always wanting to make your job easier. You don't take people for granted and you work hard to get business.
For the first time in its fifteen year history the event was held in a location other than Canberra. It was also the first time that a Defence & Industry Trade Exhibition was held in conjunction with the Conference. A record number of delegates attended the combined events. The positive feedback from participants and attendees indicates that the event was highly successful. The professionalism of the Convention Centre staff contributed to the outstanding success of the event.
